Bilingual SEO

Be found in English and in Spanish

A translated page is not enough. We build each language as its own site that search engines understand and people trust, with the technical setup that many bilingual sites get wrong.

Why it is different

English and Spanish speakers do not search the same way. A site that treats the second language as an afterthought loses both.

  • Different words, different questions

A phrase that is natural in one language is often not what people type in the other. Translating keywords misses how people really search.

  • Different places and habits

Spanish speakers in Medellín, Mexico City and Miami use different words for the same thing. We choose the version your customers use.

  • A technical setup that is easy to get wrong

Without the right signals, Google can show the wrong language to the wrong person or treat your two versions as duplicates.

What you get

What makes it work

  • Keywords for each audience

We research what each audience types, in their own words and for their own market, not what a translator would say.

  • Separate pages and addresses

Each language has its own pages, addresses and titles, written for its readers instead of mirrored from the other.

  • The technical setup done right

Language and region tags (hreflang), links between versions, canonical addresses and a sitemap, so Google shows the right page to the right person.

  • A site your team can update

Both languages live in one editor, so keeping them in step is simple and nothing is forgotten.

  • Search titles and descriptions in both

The text people read in the results is written for each language and each market.

  • Separate reports

You see what the English version and the Spanish version bring, so you can decide where to invest.

How it works

One site, two languages, each one built to rank

The best structure for most businesses is one website with both languages, each with its own address, such as a folder or a section for Spanish. Each page has a counterpart in the other language, and the two point at each other so search engines know they are versions of the same page.

That pointing is what hreflang does. It tells Google, for each page, which version is meant for which language and region. When it is missing or wrong, the wrong version appears in results, or the pages compete, and nobody gets the traffic they should. We set it up and test it, and we keep it correct as you add pages.

But the setup is only the container. The work that decides the result is the content: pages written in each language by someone who speaks it, answering the questions that audience asks. We do that with you, deciding which pages need both languages and which only make sense in one.

We also look at your market. If your Spanish-speaking customers are in one country, we write for that country. If they are spread across several, we choose words that work for most and mark the exceptions.

How it goes

How we set it up

  1. Map your audiences

Who searches in each language, in which countries and for what.

  2. Research the searches

What each audience types and what they want when they do.

  3. Plan the structure

Which pages exist in both languages, which in one, and what each address will be.

  4. Set up both versions

Pages, addresses and technical tags in place and tested.

  5. Track each language

Separate reports so you see what each one brings.

Tell us about your business and your two audiences. We will tell you what we would set up first.

Is it for you?

This is a good fit if

  • You serve Spanish and English speakers

Customers who live in both languages and expect to be spoken to in theirs.

  • You already have a translated site

It exists in two languages but one of them barely shows up in search.

  • You are about to build or redesign

It is much cheaper to set the structure up correctly than to fix it afterwards.

FAQ

Bilingual SEO questions

What people ask before setting up two languages.

Can I just translate my site?

You can, but it usually ranks poorly. People use different words in each language, so each version needs its own research and writing.

Do I need two websites?

Not two separate sites: one site with both languages, each with its own pages and addresses. That keeps the work together and lets both languages build authority.

What is hreflang?

A tag that tells search engines which version of a page is for which language and region, so the right one appears for each searcher. We set it up and test it.

Should I use automatic translation?

Machine translation can help a team draft, but publishing it unchecked tends to read badly and to rank poorly. We have a person who speaks the language write and review every page.

Do I need every page in both languages?

No. Some pages only make sense in one. We decide with you which ones to build in both, so effort goes where it pays.

Does Spanish SEO depend on the country?

Yes. Words and habits differ between countries. We write for the market you serve and flag where a different version would help.

How long does it take to see results?

SEO is slower than ads and it keeps paying after you stop. We do not promise dates, and we report progress every month.

How much does it cost?

It depends on your site and market. After a short call we send a written proposal.

Can you fix a bilingual site I already have?

Yes. We start with an audit of the structure and the tags, fix what is wrong and then plan the content that is missing.

Will it work on Google only?

Mostly it is built for Google, which is where most searches happen, and the same signals help other search engines.
